Thursday September 10th

Swynford Paddocks is todays venue for my sister-in-laws wedding to Conor, a day I've been looking forward to very much. The sun is shining and the venue looks great, thanks Lisa. I was with Carole from early on for the prep photos, for which she looked stunning. The attention to detail certainly paid off in the Byron Suite (where the ceremony was held) and the Augusta suite where the wedding breakfast was held. The large table looked really good. I captured some great moments during the ceremony and afterwards in the grounds. Carole and Conor were easy to work with despite being more than a little apprehensive about the photos! As a guest as well as the photographer I had an amazing day which I shall remember for a long time to come.

It doesn't end there though..........

On the following Saturday Carole and Conor had a another reception function in a large marque in the grounds of their house. As I was covering another wedding during the day I made it back for a late start. Another great nights entertainment that went on into the small hours of Sunday. No lay-in for me though as I had a wedding fayre to get too.

Thank you both so much.

Saturday October 3rd

Brides Preps to first dance. I'm off to Market Deeping near Peterborough today for the wedding of Lorna & Ben at St Guthlac's Church. The sun kept shining and we did a few photos after the ceremony at the church and then away to The Marriott Hotel in Peterborough for the wedding breakfast. It was rather windy during the photos! But at least the rain held off until the evening.

Monday September 28th

Brides preps to first dance. Aidan & Matthew were married in the chapel at Queens College, Cambridge. An incredible venue to work at and the staff work very hard to ensure your day is exactly as you would want it to be. Aidan looked incredible in her dress etc. A lovely couple that I very much enjoyed being with for the day. Thank you.

Saturday September 26th

Brides preps to first dance. Emma & Chris were married at All Saints Church, Graffham which is very close to where they live. A fantastic and very old church. The reception was held in the grounds at the couples home amongst the sheep and chickens, well not quite amongst them but you know what I mean. Thank you both for your hospitality.

Friday September 25th

Brides preps to first dance for the marriage of Louise & Ian. The ceremony and wedding breakfast was held at Orton Hall in Peterborough. I like working here as it offers so many photo opportunities. Steve from First Take Films was also on hand all day to video the proceedings, which he does so well, and we enjoy working together. Louise had clearly gone a great deal of time to ensure every detail of the wedding breakfast looked just perfect - and it really did. Thank you both for a very enjoyable day.

Monday September 21st

Brides preps to first dance. The wedding of Essin & Luke was held at The Fennes near Braintree, Essex. A wonderful venue with incredible grounds to work in. The lighting at night was amazing.
The ceremony was held outside and the bride was traditionally late! The grooms dog acted as ring bearer and was so well behaved, he did a great job lifting one paw at a time to present the rings. I had a really lovely day and I know everyone else did as well.

Sunday September 20th

Brides preps to first dance! Sarah & Andrew were married at Bedford Lodge, Newmarket today on a bright and sunny day. The flowers were spectacular (Flowers by Tiffany) and the venue - as always - was just perfect. During the wedding breakfast I thought a couple of the 'waiters' were not doing much :-) and then they burst in operatic song! They were fantastic and sang a range of varied songs and were very very funny as well. Extremely entertaining.

Saturday September 19th

Todays wedding is at St Mary's Church in Trumpington, near Cambridge with the wedding breakfast being held at the Hilton Doubletree in Cambridge centre. Both are really good venues to work at. I like the arrival of the bridge & groom at the hotel in a punt on the river, it makes for great photos. The reception room looked really good, hotel really pays attention to getting the little details correct for the happy couple.

Friday September 18th

Brides preps to first dance - another full day, and I love it!! Sheena & Ben were married at Swaffham Prior Church, near Cambridge in amazing sunshine. The photos done and off to Bedford Lodge, Newmarket for the wedding breakfast and a lot more photos, which is never a problem at Bedford Lodge as the grounds always look good and are well looked after.

Saturday September 12th

Natasha & Carl! From preps to first dance. They were married at the tiny church in West Row, Suffolk. A small church. Natasha wore a lovely dress and the boys scrubbed up well. After the ceremony and the photos were off to the reception in Miledenhall where the venue looked amazing. A very pink colour scheme was the theme of the day with gorgeous lighting. They had fish and chips for the wedding breakfast and the cod & chips I had was scrumptious.
