What a wet day! I was soaked a couple of times today. Gemma & Jamie were married today at St Leonards church, Little Downham nr Ely. I was with Gemma and the girls in the morning for the preps, which was a busy time as always. I've got some great images of guests and umbrellas arriving at the church! A few photos of the gents before Gemma arrived. Jamie planned a surprise for Gemma to see on leaving the church.... an Aston Martin Vantage to go to the reception in. Gemma's face was a picture (if you'll pardon the pun). The reception was held at Great Wilbraham Hall Barns, and although it rained on arrival there was a clear spell just long enough to get the photos done. Speeches, cake cut and first dance then I was off home.

Stephanie & Jamie were married today at St Mary's Church, Ely and the reception was held at the Maltings in Ely. The weather stayed good for us! Stephanie arrived at the church in a lovely vintage style car looking very radiant. A lovely service, some photos at the church then off to the Maltings. A few more photos, a cake cut and my days was done.

I'm off to Woodhall Manor nr Woodbridge in Suffolk today for the wedding of Laura & Jason. The sun is shinning and the sky is blue. Great venue to work at as well. I'm here from preps to first dance today. The girls all look lovely and the colour scheme was a bright orange. The gents looked very smart as well! The ceremony was held outside in the sunshine. Photos done, it was inside for the wedding breakfast. The room looked lovely decorated in orange. The evening soon came around and with the first dance done I was off home.

What a lovely hot and sunny day for a photo-shoot in the park. Laura & Jason have been looking forward to today. Pocket Park in Ely is a lovely place for an environmental photo-shoot and we certainly got some great images, one of which will be used as a signing board at the wedding reception on Saturday July 2nd.

A busy Saturday morning today with two portrait sessions in the studio. The first portrait session was with Lucy, Nick, Amelia and Archie the dog! We had quite a laugh with Archie doing his best to steal the show. Amelia is such a good girl. Thank you mum and dad.

I'm off to the outskirts of London this morning for the brides prep photos, which went really well. Katy & Tom will be getting married at Moreton Church, nr Ongar and then off to Blake Hall for the wedding breakfast. The rain just kept on coming! We did manage to get some photos done outside with the formals done inside! It was a lovely day and we had some laughs and some tears and I really enjoyed being with Katy & Tom.

Off to Bury St Edmunds this morning to take some baby portraits. Mum & dad, Jason and Nicole will be getting married soon and I'll be photographing their wedding as well. The morning session went well and we've got some lovely photos.

Off to Blake Hall in Ongar, Essex for todays wedding. Brides preps to first dance so a full day for me. Nicola & Mike said their vows outside in the sunshine! Again the weather was good to us all. Blake Hall is a great venue for photography and we made the most of the locations. The reception was held in the barn, which looked really good. After the cake cut we went outside for some photos of the bride & groom in the setting sun! The first dance and I was off home.

Anna & Gary were married today in the beautiful St Peter's Church, Boxworth just outside Cambridge. I was with Anna for the girls preps at the family farm then across the fields to the church. The weather was good most of the day! After the ceremony and photos Anna & Gary left the church in an old army jeep and a tractor and trailer took the guests back to the farm for the reception. It was a really lovely day with loads of laughter. The first dance seem to come around very quickly.

June seems to have come around so quickly! Kelly and Kirk are such a lovely couple and so suited to each other. I loved covering their wedding at the Double Tree Hilton in Cambridge. A great setting down by the river. My day started with Kelly in the morning for the girls preps and concluded with the first dance in the evening. We've got some really good photos.

Where do I start! What a great day at the wedding of Debbie & John. The ceremony and reception was held at the lovely Jockey Club in Newmarket where Victoria and her staff were amazing as always. Debbie and John looked radiant as they took thier vows and it was so clear to see how in love they are. A big thank you to all the guests for making me feel so welcome.

Back from Cornwall........had a week in Cornwall doing Landscape photography and visiting loads of fishing ports. Very windy and quite cold most of the time! The sunsets were well worth it though. Back to reality today as I have a wedding to photography in Newmarket. I'll post some landscape images from Cornwall ASAP.

Hi, and another very busy weekend for me. Todays wedding of Lorna & Scott took place at the lovely St Mary's Church, Burwell just outside Cambridge. The reception was held at the newly named Swinford Hotel nr Newmarket. A full day for me as I was with Lorna for the preps in the morning, and finished my day with the first dance. The weather could have been a bit better to us but at least it didn't rain.

Environmental photo session this morning. Daisey and Glen won the ProImage Photography competition from the Red Barn, Runcton wedding fayre. It was great meeting them. A lovely young couple and we had a very relaxed and enjoyable photo-shoot. Daisey & Glen are getting married this September and I wish them both the very best for a long and happy future together.

Off to Cambridge this morning for the preperations of Sarah, then over to Bedford Lodge for the ceremony etc. Sarah looked lovely and Bryan scrubbed up OK as well. I had a great day. The weather looked a bit changeable in the morning, but the sun was shining in Newmarket all day. Some great photos and lots of laughter.

What a great day in London! Amazing venues, amazing bride & groom and very lively guests. Emma & Steve were married at Islington Town Hall, after a few photos we all boarded an old Route Master bus for a tour of London. The champagne flowed and everyone had some fun. A couple of stops for photos opportunities, finishing off at the Distillers in Smithfield. More photos and then the wedding breakfast and first dance. A lengthy train journey home and that was my day done. Many thanks to Emma and Steve for their hospitality.

Todays wedding was at Hinchingbrooke House, near Huntingdon. Once the residence of the Earl of Sandwich. A lovely venue to work at. The sun was shining all day for Deborah & Trevor. I was with them from preps to first dance. The wedding cake was really quite amazing in the shape of a castle, a rather large castle!

Had a great photo shoot this morning photographing Miriam's baby bump and her partner. The sun was shining so we did some photos in the garden, then inside for more photos. I really enjoyed taking the photos and the couple were great to work with as well.

Preps to start of the wedding breakfast today. The ceremony was held at the Holiday Inn, Impington, just outside Cambridge. A lovely ceremony for Sam & Grant then outside for the group photos, back inside (out of the cold wind) for some bride and groom photos and my time with the very happy couple was finished.

The amazing Gosfield Hall nr Sudbury, was the venue for Carly & dan's wedding. Preps to start of the wedding breakfast and a rather wet day. Every aspect of the day was great with lots of laughs. The groom and grooms men donned wellies to walk across the muddy fields in rain to the church which made for some great photos. Gosfield church is a lovely old church. A few photos at the church between the showers and then back to the hall. More photos inside and a cake cut and that was my day done.

Louise is the lovely daughter of school friends of mine (those school days seem a long way off now). Louise married Joe at Ely registry office. A lovely friendly wedding with a great atmosphere (and plenty of banter between Adrian and myself). It was a full day for me from the preps in the morning to first dance in the evening. I took Louise and Joe to the cathedral to do some photos and then down to the Cutter Inn by the river for the wedding breakfast.

A lovely couple. Tatiana and Jose were married in the Free Church in Ely, Cambridgeshire. With family members traveling from around the world to attend and a sunny, but cold day. Not that you would have known it was cold with the warmth of their smiles. A really lovely ceremony and a privilege to be a part of their day.

It's been a very busy couple of months for me. Weddings fayres almost every weekend, weddings, portrait sittings, trade shows, the list goes on. I'm sorting some new album covers and I'll have some samples and post some images as soon as I have them. They are truly amazing with vibrant colours and styles that I hope you'll love.

My new additional website is now live. This enables me to have one website for wedding photography and one for portraiture, events, schools and commercial photography. I'll also be able to keep the online galleries within the same web sites making it much easier to find and view the galleries. The additional website is also able to display discount vouchers for print orders and discounts for portrait sittings etc. Both web sites interact really well, so I'm pleased. All the work has been worth while. There is also a guest book page so I'll be pleased to receive your comments.

What a dull day! Never mind. Today I'm doing a lifestyle photo session with Charlotte and James. I had hoped for some sunshine, but at least it's dry. We had a great time in a little used parkland area on the outskirts of Ely. It didn't take Charlotte and James long to relax and get used to being the centre of attention. I think we have some amazing images.

Claire arrived at St Mary's in an old Bently. The wedding of Mary & James was held in the lovely little church of St Margrets in Upton nr Huntingdon. A real village! With a duck pond! Mary and James held a very personal ceremony with close family in attendance. James and the Vicar both had their guitars and sang. The surprise to me was that Mary, James and their children are on holiday in the UK from Australia and decided to get married whilst everyone was together. A really big thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome.

Todays wedding of Cynthia and David was held at the lovely Wimpole Hall, nr Cambridge. I was with Cynthia during her preps and she looked lovely. I met with men for a few photos before the ceremony and then awaited for the bride to arrive. With the ceremony over it was outside in the sunshine for the photos. Bright blue skies and lovely gardens always make for great photos. The marquee looked good as always and the staff were exceptionally helpful. A venue to be recommended.

Sophie & Dan's wedding was held today in the beautiful Ely Cathedral followed by a reception at the Maltings in Ely. From brides preps to first dance, the whole day was amazing. Beautiful images inside the cathedral, the Maltings looked really good and the weather was fairly kind to us! The first dance started off slowly and then a 40's band played, which was a surprise to everyone. Many thanks to Sophie & Dan for a great day.

Vicky and Dave were married at the lovely church of All Saints in Cottenham, nr Cambridge. I was with Vicky in the morning for the preps, which was a very busy time! After the ceremony and photos at the church Vicky and Dave left for the reception at Quy Mill in a soft top Morris 1000 car. Some great photos at Quy Mill and through the wedding breakfast and onto the first dance. Just before the first dance we did a garter throw which the men enjoyed very much!

Jessica and Simon were married today at the fabulous Magdalene College, Cambridge. I was with Jessica in the morning for the prep photos which all went really well. The three bridesmaids looked stunning but were easily outshone by the bride! The ceremony was held outside and the weather behaved. After the ceremony and a few photos Jess and Simon went for a drive the lovely old car. The wedding breakfast was held in the amazing dining hall and all too soon the first dance was finished and it was off home for me to prepare to tomorrows wedding.

A Monday wedding is a little unusual for me. David and Hazel were married at Trinity Hall College in Cambridge. A beautiful setting where the warm afternoon sun was just perfect. After the ceremony we all moved outside for the photos and a cream tea in the gardens followed by the cake cut, also outside!

The lovely church of St James in Thorley, nr Bishops Storford was the setting for the marriage of Sarah & Tony. I was with Sarah in the morning for the brides prep photos, which all went well. After the photos at the church we set off to Blake Hall just outside Bishops Stortford. The old barn is a lovely setting for a wedding breakfast and the grounds provided some really great photo opportunities.

Who's superstitious! Certainly not Jade and Scott. They were married today at Theobolds Park, Cheshunt. A great setting. It was also Jades birthday so a double celebration. It rained most of the day so we had to do all the group shots inside although we did get the opportunity to do the bride and groom photos outside. I was with Jade in the morning for brides preps and she looked lovely. The formals were followed by loads of candid images, the speeches, the cake cut and then the first dance. Thanks to all those that helped out getting the guests together for the photos.

I was with Henny in the morning for the preps photos then off to Selwyn College where Henny & Jon were married in the gorgeous chapel. Selwyn was also the setting for some of the photos. Although it did rain there was enough bright spells for us to take the photos and then make our way around to Newnham College for the wedding breakfast. At Newnham we did the formals etc and the rain kept away. As always the evening first dance came around all too soon.

Todays ceremony of Catherine & Tom took place at the aptly named No Hurry Inn (5 Miles from anywhere) nr Ely. Although the weather was suppose to rain we didn't have any! A great ceremony and lot of fun. The setting for the photos down by the river was gorgeous.

Todays wedding was that of Louise & Paul. My day started with Louise at the hairdressers in Longstanton, then back to Kirsty's house for the preps. The ceremony took place at St John's Church in Waterbeach, nr Cambridge. After a few photos and confetti through at the church we were off to Denny Abbey for the wedding breakfast. A lovely old venue and the marquee looked great. Loads more photos and a fabulous hog roast.

Simone & Edd were married at the lovely church of St Giles at Great Hallingbury nr Stansted, with the wedding breakfast at Gt Hallingbury Manor. From preps to first dance made a very long day but a very enjoyable one. They had a very large cake with incredible Brazilian sweets that Simone made herself! I would happily put loads of weight on eating those :-). James the videographer and I work well together and we both got some really great images. The venue was an amazing place to work with some really great lighting effects. The happy couple used an 18x12 inch photo in a mount from the pre-day photo shoot as a signing board.

Zoe & Martin were married at Hinchingbrooke House, Huntingdon. From brides preps to first dance meant another full day for me, which I love! Fabulous sunshine (with a few light showers). A great venue and lots of photo opportunities. The magician Dean was great, a very funny man and very talented. Thanks to everyone and John the toastmaster for all his assistance.

Todays wedding of Wendy & Gary was held at the ancient church St Mary's in Houghton, nr St Ives.

I was with Wendy from early on for the preps. Wendy looked really lovely in her self designed dress and Jimmy Choo shoes etc. After the ceremony and a few group photos we walked to Houghton Mill for a few more photos and then boarded the old 1940's bus that took the guests to the reception venue in Brampton. The marque and gardens looked immaculate. More photos before the wedding breakfast. Chimneys of Long Melford handle the catering superbly. Very professional indeed. A surprise to all the guests were two singing waiters and a singing chef! Only these 'singers' did actually do a lot of serving/clearing etc. They were incredible, three singers from the West End! The string quartet played beautifully and for a long time in the blazing heat. A good time was had by all.

Michelle and Ash were married at Sheene Mill nr Royston. Another great venue where Emma and her team always work hard to ensure you enjoy your day. From the brides preps to the first dance, so it was another full day for me. A very hot day and plenty of time for the photos meant a bag full of great images. The coloured lighting around the river is spectacular after dark and so we just had to have a photo session then, with amazing results. Thanks to everyone for helping me throughout the day.

Denise & Lester were married at Swynford Paddocks where Lisa and her team always do a great job for everyone. The children had a large sweets table that also kept a lot of the adults happy as well! Glen the toastmaster did a great job as always. The whole day from brides preps to first dance was very relaxed. The caricaturist raised quite a few laughs from those brave enough to have one done. I kept my distance!

Even though it did rain quite a lot we captured some great photos throughout the day.

What a lovely sunny day for the wedding of Joanne & Guy. Their venue was Quy Mill nr Cambridge. From brides preps to first dance Joanne barely stopped smiling!, and Guy looked as if he was the cat that got the cream. Quy Mill is a lovely venue and the whole day went by so quickly. The football was on TV for those who wanted to watch it and all to soon it was time for me to head for home.

Today's wedding I'm covering is for Rachel & Andy at Wood Green near Huntingdon. The weather was a bit overcast at the beginning of the day with dramatic thundery looking skies. Then the sun came out! I was with Rachel and Andy from preps to first dance. A really great day which I enjoyed very much. The day was quite a special one for me as I have known Andy's family for quite a few years.

Tonight I photographed 'The one and Only' Chesney Hawkes in concert. I've been looking forward to this event and it was a great night. I came away with some brilliant images (even if I do say so myself!) which can be viewed on my website very soon. The support band was very good as well. My ears finally stopped ringing in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Another amazing sunny day. I'm off into the depths of Essex for the brides preps and onto Woolston Manor in Chigwell for the wedding of Bonnie and Jeremy. Once again a big thank you to everyone for their hospitality and friendliness towards me. We captured some great photos, which I'll post as soon as I can. What a lovely sunny day! Perfect for the wedding of Gemma and Kahled. A big thank you to them both for their hospitality. South Farm is always a great place for a wedding, so many photo opportunities. My day started with the preps and ended with the first dance. It was a very enjoyable day for all concerned. It was also good to meet Emma again, whose wedding I photographed back in 2007 at Parklands. I'll post a photo very soon.

Another very busy couple of month for me. The launch of my eNews letter has been very successful and goes out to over 1700 readers every month. Each month we have a featured wedding and a featured supplier. Tips on how to look your best in the photographs and what to avoid doing in the 'Tell It How It Is' columb! I've been busy with changes to the web site and also a brand new web site for launch of a new business! MyeMarketing. MyeMarketing is new concept in electronic marketing for the many individuals and small businesses that don't have the time or the knowledge to take advantage of electronic marketing. MyeMarketing does all the hard work for you and is very cost effective. I've covered four weddings during February and the 'wedding season' gets underway in April with 35 weddings booked by the end of Feb! I'll start posting each wedding again as I know from your emails that you like to read about them.

Another Fab year

Hi to everyone that I have had the pleasure of meeting throughout 2009. Fifty three weddings in total plus a large amount of other work made 2009 another very successful year. So a big thank you. 2010 is already well on it's way to being a busy year too. I've updated my web site and added an album proofing section which should make it a breeze for you when you come to proof your album design. Also, Shelly has joined Proimage Photography as Sales & Marketing Manager and I know she will have a very positive influence on our marketing campaigns. Shelly joins Linda who is Financial Director. We now have a monthly eNews letter that will be emailed out to you, full of useful info and a 'Tell it how it is' article! I'll be strengthening some existing ties with a very good videographer and a local portrait studio and we'll be letting you know about some joint promotions we'll be offering. On that note, I think that's enough from me for now. Many thanks once again.
