June 20th & 21st 2008

Saturday 21st - The ceremony for the wedding of Jenny & Glenn was held in the Church of St John The Baptist in Epping. A large and magnificent building in the heart of a very busy town! The reception was held in a marquee in the nearby village of Thornwood.

Friday 2oth - The Reid Rooms at Margret Roding in the heart of the Essex countryside was the setting for the wedding of Helen & Mark. A lovely venue with all the charm of an old barn and very old farm house. The house is used for the bride to stay over and prepare on the big day! while the old barn and attached buildings are used for the ceremony and reception. Exclusive use is given for the day and the surrounding grounds are used for the photographs.

Both of the brides looked aboslutely lovely (and the grooms were'nt bad either!). Both weddings were great and once again it was a privilage to be the chosen photographer.

Sunday June 15th

This Sunday I was local in the village of Snailwell near Newmarket, Suffolk. Following on from the brides preps I walked the short distance to the village church where Melissa & Ben had a blessing as they are already married. The village church is lovely and so well looked after and the Vicar was good allowing me to take several photos throughout the ceremony! After the ceremony it was off to the Jockey Club in Newmarket where we were made very welcome by Victoria. The Jockey Club is an incredible venue for a wedding reception, steeped in history and so many beautiful places both indoors and out to take photos. Guests came from various places around the world to be with Melissa & Ben and the whole day was great.

Saturday June 14th

Saturday I was with Jen & Matt where the ceremony was held in the Norfolk village of Framingham Pigot. After brides preps it was straight up the pub! No not for a pint for me. Groom, Best Man and Ushers etc had decided the local pub would be a good place to start the day - to steady the nerves - likely story! From the pub it was off to St Andrew's church in the village and then onto Barnham Broom Country Club. The weather was a mixture of sunshine & showers all day. After the wedding breakfast there was a short period when it was raining and the sun was shining resulting in an amazing rainbow. Being one to seize the moment I ask the brave bride & groom to pose in the rain under the rainbow for me and you can see the result, a 'once in a lifetime image'. Thank you to Jenn & Matt for being so helpful and putting up with me!

This weeks wedding is that of Fiona & Chris. They were married in the lovely old church of St Peter's in Irthlingborough with the reception being held at Hellidon Lakes in Daventry. Although it was raining at times during the morning we still managed some great pictures before moving on to Hellidon Lakes. The bridal cars were both Bentley's! The car for the bridal party was a stretched Bentley - quite different! We've got some lovely images of the bride & groom throughout the afternoon culminating with some amazing images as the sun was setting and the distant countryside in the background.

Another busy weekend

Friday already!

This evening I'm off to Bedford Lodge in Newmarket to cover a function - these are always hectic and often amuzing.

I'm off to Northamptonshire this Saturday for the wedding of Fiona & Antony. The ceremony is being held in Irthlingborough and the reception at Hellidon Lakes in Daventry. The weather is promising to behave and provide some sun (here's hoping!) and I just know we'll get some great images.

Bookings for 2009 are coming in at quite a pace now, so if your considering Pro-Image for your photography please don't put off the decision for too long as I may well be booked.
Have a great weekend and I'll post some more next week.

I'm back

I arrived back home midday today after two days away covering a couple of great weddings. On Friday the ceremony was held in Ingatestone with reception at Hylands House near Chelmsford which is an amazing mansion house with stunning grounds.

Saturdays wedding was in the Peak District, again another amazing place. The ancient church was nestled in the hills with incredible views while the reception was held in Blackshaw Moor with rolling country side in the background.

I'll post some images just as soon as I can.
